Competitions
This is run on the Saturdays afternoon. Games starting at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5.00pm. Two
45 minutes halves are played on selected fields. Referees and linemen are
provided.
Please ensure that if you are playing at a
particular venue that you and your team knows how to access the nets, where to
park etc before the game day. Manager's have this responsibility. Every manager
should have received a ground listing with the necessary information on
it.
Some venues will require key access for the net kits, get the key prior to the match
and don't turn up hoping it's there - make it happen. Just as important as
collecting the key is who do you have to leave it with after the match verify it
when you collect it.
Why not make contact with the men's registrar [email]
or the players representative [email] to locate the nearest
side to you and join one of our friendly teams of a Saturday afternoon.

The QBSA's Ladies competition is now entering its third year of competition.
This year 9 teams over two divisions will play games on a Saturday afternoon at parks across Brisbane.
Game times are normally 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm. Games are played in 2 x 30
minute halves with a 10 minute half time break. The ladies league whilst
competitive is also known as the friendly league with all teams enjoying
fellowship with each other each week. Ladies participating in the competition
compete for a place in the QBSA Ladies representative side which partakes in
games against other like minded competitions. Players in this league may then
qualify for selection to represent Queensland in the annual Australian
Christian Soccer Championships.
Further details on the Ladies competition may be
obtained by contacting either the Ladies Registrar [email] or

nights currently at three venues. The league currently has 8 teams that
participate in a round robin tournament over 20 rounds for the prestigious
Southern Cross Trophy and Southern Cross Plate. All teams approach the game
with modified rules that enable all players to ensure they are fit and ready
for work on Monday morning. With an unlimited substitution rule and the banning
of slide tackles the games are played in a fair and competitive environment
that enables players of all skill levels to enjoy themselves. Games are played
at John Oxley Reserve Murrumba Downs, Wakefield Park Brighton and Akuna Oval
Kenmore. Normal game times are 7.00pm and 8.30pm on Friday nights.
Players playing in the league are eligible for selection in the
QBSA representative Over 35 side that competes with other like minded sides
during the Christian Soccer Queensland state titles each year. This league is in its fourth year of

Each year the QBSA runs the Charity Shield competition for each league as a pre-season
competition. One of the primary purposes for the Charity Shield competition in the mens league is to grade teams for
the upcoming season. All clubs should bear this in mind when selecting players
for the competition. Each team should be made up of the players who are most
likely to play in that team during the regular season. Week one of competition
is used by the executive to place existing teams against new teams. Week two of
competition has the league split into provisional divisions.
Teams placed in the
top 2 places after the preliminary rounds then play off for the Charity Shield
for their respective division. This gives the executive a valuable tool in its
decision making process for placing teams in appropriate divisions for the
regular season. At the end of the Charity Shield the match review committee
meets and teams are placed in divisions for the first 6 rounds of competition in
the QBSA cup. After the 6th round of the QBSA cup teams are given
final divisional placements for the current season.
